Description by Maurice

Because we could not find a standard suitable [affordable] bathroom furniture, we decided to get started ourselves. To start, I had waterproof MDF cut to size. I then made a column cupboard, a low hanging cupboard and a washbasin top out of this. Finally, I used 1 part as a base for a coffee table. I glued oak planks to the MDF. The cabinet doors of the bathroom furniture are made of solid oak planks that I had lying around from a previous project

How I made this project

To start with, I first made some rough sketches made with measurements. The second step was to create a logical sawing plan on the TOSIZE.dk site with as little material loss as possible. This tool works perfectly. After the materials were delivered quickly and neatly, I glued and screwed the cabinets and the washbasin top. After closing the screw holes, the inside of the cabinet is finished with PU lacquer. The outside and the top are finished with concrete ciré glamor gold, with a protective layer of 2k gloss lacquer. The oak doors are finished with 2k oil and 2k clear lacquer on top. All in all a nice project and very satisfied with the result.

Dimensions of my DIY project

Base cabinet: wxlxh = 177x42x35 Washbasin top wxlxh = 177x52x8 Column cabinet WxLxH= 35x27x180
