What did you make?

A cupboard was placed above the sink in the kitchen. In retrospect it was not a good choice for taller people. Removed this cupboard and hung some nice thick shelves. Since the wall was free, the back wall was immediately covered.

How did you make the shelves?

First of all, of course, look where you can buy some nice shelves at a reasonable price. Of course it turns out where that is! We then removed the cupboard and extractor hood. Then I covered the back wall with Decowood shell white. The wiring for the lighting is of course invisible behind the wall. The planks were then sanded and treated with color stain, light oak. Ultimately, the pine plank was the right color after 5 stainings. Then first varnished to make removal easier. Mounted supports and mounted the under lighting. Then hung the 2nd plank. Finally put the things on the shelves. The result is impressive!

What are the dimensions of the planks?

2 planks of Pine carpentry panel in the dimensions 1200 x 250 x 40 mm.
